How to View Transition Checklists for Head Managers

Modified on Wed, 8 Feb, 2023 at 10:18 AM

Overview:

Human Resources has shared a checklist with every Head Manager position that has been placed in your respective Team folder in Microsoft Teams.

Each head manager is required to complete a checklist verifying that they have trained their successor in the position they will be inheriting.

Instructions:

Please follow these steps in order to find the Transition Checklist for your position.

  1. Open Microsoft Teams and click on the Teams tab on the left. This will let you choose any Team you are a part of (if you are part of multiple). If you are only part of a single Team you will automatically be taken into the appropriate Team.
  2. Ensure you are in the General channel
  3. Click on Files in the top tab
  4. Ensure that you are in the Documents -> General file section
  5. Enter the Transition folder

Within this folder you will see any transition related files relating to positions within your team. This could include Transition Manuals, checklists, etc.

As indicated in the photo below, you will find a checklist document relating to your position. Although you can click the name of the file to open it, certain browsers will attempt to download the file instead. The recommended way of opening the file is shown below.

  1. Select the 3 dots to the right of the file name
  2. Choose Open in SharePoint

This will ensure that the file opens in a browser and you can then bookmark this checklist if needed for future use.
