Sign Into Microsoft Teams App on a Desktop

If you have the Microsoft Teams App installed on your computer you may follow the steps below to sign into the desktop application.

1. Start Teams.

  • In Windows, click Start Start button > Microsoft Teams.
  • On Mac, go to the Applications folder and click Microsoft Teams.
  • On mobile, tap the Teams icon.

2. Sign in with your AMS username and password.

*Please note:

If you already have an account signed in to the Teams app, you will click on your User Icon at the top of the app (Can be your initials or a picture of you depending on how you have it set up) and click on the “Add account” option and add your AMS account.

Pick a team and channel

A team is a collection of people, conversations, files, and tools — all in one place. A channel is a discussion in a team, dedicated to a department, project, or topic.

The best way to get familiar with teams and channels is to pick a team and channel and start exploring!

Select the Teams on the left side of the app and then pick a team.

If you're not on a team this area will be empty until an Administrator or Manager adds you to a team.

Select a channel and explore the Conversations, Files, and other tabs.
