Adding Budget Permissions To A Department

BUDGET PERMISSIONS


Budget Permissions are used to allow only specific departments to see their own budgets and denies access to everyone else.


Some users are assigned multiple dimension (department) permissions. For example, Dom, who has permissions to all services. He will have budget level access to everything under his permission set. Adding    


ADDING BUDGET PERMISSIONS

  1. Go to Permission Sets and click on AMS-CGR (We'll use this as our template)

  2. Click on the Elipses 

  3. Click on "Permissions"

  4. Copy the entire line 96 Entry by clicking on the line and pressing CTRL + C


ADDING SECURITY FILTERS


  1. Select the next permission Set at the top (AMS-XXX)
  2. Paste in the Line 96 Row
  3. Then click on the security filter at the end of row 96 
  4. Change all field filters to the 3 letter department abbreviation of the new permission. You will have to type them in manually and then press TAB to save your changes.
